Comparison of Papers Expected cut off and Paper Analysis of SSC CGL 2014 Tier 1 Exam 19 Oct & 26 Oct both shifts

Comparison of Papers Expected cut off and Paper Analysis of SSC CGL 2014 Tier 1 Exam 19 Oct & 26 Oct both shifts

Part A – General Intelligence & Reasoning

General Intelligence & Reasoning part of both dates & both shifts is easy. Most of the questions of this section are easy to moderate level. Many of candidates have attempted 40+ questions in this section with accuracy. As all sets of this examination is lengthy so 35 – 40 Marks in this section is a good score but if you are scoring more than 40+ marks in this section it will an advantage for you in scoring marks.

Part B – General Awareness

This section is tough than previous SSC CGL Exams. Earlier SSC asks traditional questions of science, economics, geography, history & polity. In 19th Oct morning paper they asked professional question of science, as candidates prepared only general science so they have no clues about this question, even science graduate candidates are unable to solve these questions, same problem is with the questions of economics, Even economics graduate didn’t heard that terminology asked by ssc in the question paper. In polity section they asked the question of world politics. So GS paper level of morning shift is hard. 19 Oct Evening GS question paper level is moderate, the science question of this section is moderate but economics, history & polity question are hard. 26 Oct morning GS paper was a surprise for all candidates, Approx 10 question were asked from June – August 2013 current affairs & it’s difficult for anyone to attempt these question. May be they have distributed approx 01 year old question paper to 26 Oct morning shift candidates, Geography & Economics of this section was hard, Some question of Polity is from world polity. History part is moderate but only candidates who have good history knowledge are able to solve these question.  26 Oct Evening GS paper is also hard; level of questions of science is very similar to 19 Oct morning session paper. Evening candidates also get surprised by Approx 10 question from June – August 2013 current affairs & it’s difficult to attempt these questions. History Geography & Economics of this section was Moderate. Polity was easy and questions were from Indian polity. As the level of GS is hard in all shifts & dates except 19 Oct evening shift so 15 – 20 Marks in this section is a good score but if you are scoring more than 25+ marks in this section it will an advantage in scoring marks.

Part C – Quantitative Aptitude

Mathematics section of all question paper is moderate. Most of the questions of this section are easy to moderate level but lengthy, some questions were tough & some were wrong. Traditional questions of Maths like questions from CI, SI, Profit & Loss, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Average, Boat & races are lengthy and tricky. As most of the candidates strong part is traditional mathematics so they gave maximum time to these question & unable to solve whole paper / question. This part is responsible for time mismanagement. But question from Advanced Mathematics like questions from Trigonometry, Geometry, Menstruation & Algebra are easy and simply based on formulas / tricks & these questions easily get solved in less than one minute per question. DI part of the paper is little tough than earlier SSC papers & consumed the time of candidates. As all sets of this examination is lengthy so 25 – 30 Marks in this section is a good score but if you are scoring more than 35+ marks in this section it will an advantage for you in scoring marks.

Part D – English Comprehension

This time SSC changed the pattern of English questions; earlier ssc asks its pet idioms & phrases and one word substitutions, but this time most of the idioms & phrases and one word substitutions are new and never heard earlier by candidates also not present in any reference book. But the pattern of options was not changed and by the options one can easily figure out the correct option. This time SSC gives two passages in which one is easy or moderate and other one is moderate or hard, but two passage consumes the time of candidates it is also responsible for time mismanagement. Error part, Antonyms / synonyms, spelling errors & sentence improvement part is as similar as earlier ssc papers; this part will give advantage to the candidates who have good English. As the level of English Section is moderate in all shifts & dates so 25 – 30 Marks in this section is a good score but if you are scoring more than 35+ marks in this section it will an advantage for you in scoring marks.
